AQGS rod glow plugs

AQGS stands for "Advanced Quick Glow System". This enhancement of the QGS types also has one heating coil and one control coil.

Its heating coil heats up extremely quickly. Since the glow tube of the AQGS glow plug is significantly thinner, only 3.5 mm, than the glow tube of conventional metal rod glow plugs, this type reaches 1,000 °C in only 2 seconds and thus ensures an especially reliable self-ignition of the diesel mixture. Emissions during the warm-up phase are already minimised before reaching the optimal operating temperature of the engine.
