Requirements on ignition cables
Ignition cables must have top quality insulating characteristics, high thermal resistance, resistance against vibrations and fluctuations in temperature and humidity
If the spark should jump over, the high voltage generated in the ignition coil (up to 25,000 volts) must first be able "flow" through the ignition cables to the spark plug. In order for this to function reliably, a series of important requirements are placed on these cables.
Top quality insulating characteristics, high level of heat resistance (up to 200 °C), resistance to vibrations and fluctuations in temperature and humidity are the primary requirements which high-quality ignition cables must fulfil.
Permanent reliability under extreme conditions over an extended period of time.
