Surface ignition type spark plugs
The principle of the semi-surface ignition type spark plug is that the ignition sparks pass along the projecting insulator tip and take away possible carbon deposits. Only then the spark flashes from the insulator tip to the ground electrode and the fuel-air mixture is safely inflamed. |
